Record player

Restoration

what a ride…

I was approached by a client to renovate and restore a vintage record player. I needed to keep the vintage look, while upgrading every possible. It got a new bluetooth amp, brand new speakers, a new turntable, new fabric and speaker covers, record storage & restored the original finish.

Breakdown

The whole piece needed to be be taken down to the bones to remove the old pieces and figure out what was salvageable.

build back up

I needed to fabricate a lot of new pieces to accommodate all the new features.

testing & Tweaking

Towards the end of the build, it required some testing and tweaking to dial everything in on it.

completion

After I finished it, I helped set it up in the clients home. It was a fun experience and an awesome build.

WOODCRAFT

A custom Speaker for a special

local client.

THe Build

I was asked to make a speaker for Woodcraft of Austin using only wood from their store, and given specific boards to use. It had to include Walnut, Paduk, Curly Maple, Yellow Heart, & Leopard wood. I also added in some skateboards because its an awesome look. After coming up with the pattern, and figuring out how to incorporate all the elements, the end result was a very unique speaker, on display & being used at Woodcraft of Austin daily.
